TANGERANG - The police arrested AS and FV for the theft with the mode of breaking a car window. Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Pol Raden Romdhon Natakusuma said that the incident occurred at the Pasir Gadung gas station, Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, Thursday, July 28.
"We also managed to arrest the US suspect in the Cimone area, Tangerang City and arrested the FV suspect on the same day in the Curug area, Tangerang Regency," Raden said when confirmed, Thursday, August 4.
Raden explained that the theft began when the victim with the initials M refueled at a gas station in the Cikupa area, Tangerang Regency. Still at the same location, then the victim left the car to fill the E-toll at the gas station minimarket. At that time, the two perpetrators broke the window of the victim's car.
“The victim got out of the car, the perpetrators then launched an action by breaking the car window and taking a bag containing 2 million rupiah in cash, a cell phone and the victim's identity card. The total loss of victims reached 7 million," he said.
The victim immediately filed a report at the Cikupa Police. The officer who received the report immediately launched an investigation.
"The Cikupa Police quickly conducted an investigation and chased the suspect on Tuesday (August 2), until finally the two perpetrators were arrested," he said.
Raden said that one of the perpetrators was a recidivist with the same case.
"The suspect AS is a recidivist for a similar case, while the suspect FV admitted that he had committed theft 5 times," he said.
For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code and threatened with a sentence of 7 years.
