When Inaugurating YPPK Officials, Deputy Regent Jayawijaya Gives Message So Teachers Don't Change Profession
JAYAWIJAYA - Deputy Regent of Jayawijaya, Papua Province, Marthin Yogobi invited teachers from the Catholic School Education Foundation (YPPK) not to change professions and leave this noble task.
This was conveyed by Marthin Yogobi during the Inauguration and Handover of the Director of the YPPK Executive Secretariat Fransiskus Assisi in Wamena today. He hopes that the experience of changing professions, for example from a teacher to a district employee, will not carry over again.
"Many who are tempted by structural positions eventually leave school. I hope the person concerned must have a commitment to service, to remain in school," he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 4.
Because the foundation is a pioneer in education in the interior of Papua, the government expects them to be independent in providing teachers.
"The history of the development of schools in the Baliem Valley, at first, did not come from the government, but from foundations. Therefore, local governments also do not forget the existence of foundation schools," he said.
The government expects the new Director of YPPK Jayawijaya to become a better leader by prioritizing the implementation of programs that can improve quality and provide competitiveness in the eyes of the people of Jayawijaya.
"In educating the nation's generation in Papua, YPPK prioritizes improving the quality and performance of the foundation's management and education personnel in every school managed by the foundation," he said.
The former YPPK Director Fransiskus Assisi, Stefanus Naban, was replaced by Edyson Mario Wantik. The inauguration and handover of the directorship took place at the Soska Building, Jayawijaya.
