I'm Well! Test Results Of Patients Suspected Of Monkeypox In Central Java Are Negative
BOYOLALI - The results of the examination of a patient suspected of having monkeypox or monkeypox in Central Java have been released. The good news is, the results of the PCR test, in question, are negative.
"Yesterday there was one indication, the PCR result was negative," said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo while in Cabean Kunti Village, Cepogo District, Boyolali Regency, Thursday, August 4.
However, Ganjar reminded the public to remain vigilant. Anyone who has symptoms similar to monkeypox should be checked immediately.
"Everyone now if there are symptoms immediately check. That's the most important thing," he said.
In addition, anticipation related to monkeypox in Central Java is still being carried out. Coordination with related agencies continues to be established, including with the Ministry of Health.
Ganjar hopes that the tightening at the entrances to Indonesia will continue, including those in the Central Java region. He asked the Ministry of Health to immediately provide a briefing to officers at the entrances to Indonesia.
"I hope that because this is not from Indonesia, yes, Indonesia's entrances must remain tight. We will ask the Ministry of Health to give a briefing to the gate guards to be able to check using equipment so that the initial indications are known," he said.
Previously, Ganjar revealed that there was one patient in Central Java who was indicated or suspected of having monkeypox. The Central Java Provincial Health Office with the treating hospital directly monitored the patient, including conducting isolation and follow-up examinations.
Ganjar appealed to the Indonesian people, especially in Central Java, not to panic. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and health protocols, said Ganjar, must be done with the awareness of each.
"The people of Central Java don't need to panic, if you feel unwell, check it out immediately, it's the easiest. In the context of COVID-19, it's the same, immediately do a booster, wear your mask so that it's safe, God willing," he said.
