BENGKULU - The Bengkulu District Court sentenced the defendants EH and F to one year in prison and a fine of Rp. 50 million and three months in prison for the alleged corruption case of non-physical affirmation School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds in Seluma Regency in 2020.
Head of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office, Rozano Yudistira, said the judge declared the two defendants guilty legally and convincingly.
"The two defendants each received a sentence of one year in prison and a fine of IDR 50 million, subsidiary of three months," said Rozano in Bengkulu City, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 4.
With this decision, his party will first consult whether to accept the verdict or not.
The lawyer for the two defendants, Sofyan Siregar, said the same thing. He said that he would take the time to think about the judge's decision.
"Because in principle the facts of the trial lead to things like this and we are grateful to the panel of judges," he said.
Previously, Defendant F and Defendant EH, who is a former Head of the Education and Culture Office of Seluma Regency, were named suspects by the Bengkulu court.
Because both of them play an active role in conditioning the purchase of laptops for elementary school (SD) and junior high school (SMP) principals at PT Biru Computer using non-physical affirmation BOS funds in Seluma Regency in 2020.
As a result of the actions of the two defendants, based on the results of an audit by the State Development and Monitoring Agency (BPKP), the state suffered losses of up to Rp500 million.
