The Cause Is Not Yet Known, A Man In Tangerang Regency Screams In Front Of His House Then Stabs His Neighbor With A Machete Repeatedly

TANGERANG - The man with the initials M (35), a resident of Buniayu Village, Sukamulya Subdistrict, Tangerang Regency should be behind bars at the Balaraja Polresta Tangerang Police for slashing his neighbor.

Balaraja Police Chief Kompol Yudha Hermawan confirmed the incident. Yudha said that the incident took place on Sunday, July 31.

"It is true that M, a man from Buniayu Village, Sukamulya District, Tangerang Regency, has arrested his neighbor, MM (49). As for the reason the suspect stabbed the victim, we are still investigating," said Yudha in a written statement, Thursday, August 4.

Yudha explained, the incident began when the suspect shouted in front of the victim's house, and the sleeping victim woke up.

"The chronology of the incident began when the suspect shouted in front of the victim's house and the victim who was sleeping woke up and then reprimanded the suspect. The victim asked the reason why the suspect shouted and challenged the victim to a fight. But the suspect immediately hit the victim, the two of them got into a fight," said Yudha.

When the two were fighting, continued Yudha, a witness named Ikon who had just returned from the garden passed by, then intervened between the two. However, the suspect grabbed a machete from the witness' waist. The machete was brought by Icon for the purpose of taking care of the garden.

“After taking the machete, the suspect chased the victim who was running trying to escape. However, the victim fell and the suspect immediately stabbed a machete into the victim's face and reflexively the victim parried with both hands," he explained.

As a result of the incident the victim suffered serious injuries to the hands and face. Meanwhile, the suspect left the victim.

"As a result of the incident, both of the victim's arms were injured. Meanwhile, the suspect left the victim alone. The perpetrator fled and hid in his family's house," he said.

Yudha also explained that for further treatment, the victim was rushed to the hospital.

"The victim was taken to the Balaraja Hospital and received medical treatment," said Yudha.

Relatives of the victim reported the incident to the Balaraja Police. Officers immediately went after the suspect.

“After receiving a report from the victim's relative, the officers immediately moved to chase the suspect. The suspect's whereabouts have been tracked down by hiding at a relative's house in the same village," he explained.

The suspect was taken to the Balaraja Police and charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years in prison," Yudha concluded.
