Indomobil Finance Owned By Conglomerate Anthony Salim Gets Rp4.9 Trillion Loans From 13 Banks Such As Bank Mandiri, Bank Of China, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, Etc.
JAKARTA - The finance company owned by conglomerate Anthony Salim, PT Indomobil Finance Indonesia (IMFI) closed the 12th syndicated loan worth US$327 million or around Rp. 4.9 trillion. The funding this time came from 13 banks from within and outside the country.
"Funds obtained from this syndicated loan will be used for up to one year to support the company's financing business. IMFI will also carry out hedging activities on the syndicated loan in order to mitigate the risk of exchange rate and interest rate fluctuations," he said. Indomobil Finance Vice Chairman of Executive Board Gunawan Efendy in his statement, quoted Thursday, August 4.
He explained that the closing ceremony for the syndicated loan was held in Nusa Dua, Bali, last Friday, July 29. Also attending were representatives of 13 syndicated loan participating banks from 7 countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Australia, China, and Indonesia.
The total loan obtained by Indomobil Finance from the first syndicated loan to the 12th syndicated loan was 2.47 billion US dollars. As of June 30, 2022, the total syndicated loans that have been repaid amounted to US$1.65 billion or around 82.77 percent of the total loans.
The institutions participating in the syndicate this time are Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore branch/PT Bank BTPN Tbk, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd/Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd Jakarta branch, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, DBS Bank Ltd, PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk, and The Korea Development Bank Singapore branch.
Then, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, Mizuho Bank Ltd/PT Bank Mizuho Indonesia, OCBC Ltd, RHB Bank Bhd, ANZ Banking Group Ltd, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Ltd Singapore branch, and PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia.
Indomobil Finance appointed a number of parties to support the implementation of this funding activity as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners. They are Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd, Bank Mandiri, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation/Bank BTPN, Mizuho Bank Ltd/PT Bank Mizuho Indonesia, Korea Development Bank, Bank KB Bukopin, RHB Bank, Bank CIMB Niaga, OCBC Ltd, and DBS Bank Ltd.
Meanwhile, ANZ Banking Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Singapore branch were appointed as mandated lead arrangers. KEB Hana Bank Indonesia as lead arrangers. While acting as a facility agent and bank account is Bank BTPN.
