BEKASI - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum directly inspected the repair of the Cikarang-Cibarusah Road in Serang Village, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency to ensure that the work was carried out according to specifications.

Uu said that the road repairs carried out by the West Java Provincial Government along the 2.30 km are targeted to be completed by the end of December this year.

"We see the progress is going well, the contractor is optimistic that before that time can be completed so that this road access can be immediately used by the community," he said in Cikarang as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 3.

Deputy Governor Uu said that the road repairs on the section were in accordance with the procedure, even today there is an excess of volume which indicates that the progress of the work is progressing faster.

He also reviewed other aspects that could become obstacles in the repair and widening of the provincial roads.

"Regarding the utility, we also see bright spots related to PDAM pipes, electricity poles, and telephone poles, which will be resolved, of course, in coordination with related parties," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of South Cikarang Sub-district, Agus Dahlan, appealed to road users to use alternative routes during repairs, considering that the section being repaired is a vital access with very high mobility.

"This road improvement has been the desire of the community since 2017 and this year the provincial government has finally carried out repairs and widening. Hopefully after widening it will reduce traffic congestion," he said.

According to him, the stages of repairing and widening the road went smoothly, while regarding the problematic administration, it was hoped that the person concerned could be fulfilled according to the established procedure.

"So there is no problem with widening the road, if there are people who have not been paid because of the land administration, please take the money in court with the evidence of the files," he said.
