Biden Successfully Conquered Arizona, Mass Base Republican Party Since 1948
JAKARTA - Democratic candidate for the United States (US) from the Democratic Party Joe Biden finally managed to win in Arizona, a state that has been controlled by the Republican Party for more than seven decades. The victory certainly marks a landmark change in the region.
To quote CNN, Friday, November 13. Joe Biden's victory in Arizona further confirmed his position to remove Donald Trump from the presidency. This is certainly a bad sign for Republicans. The reason is that the Democrat Party has successfully crushed three key state regions.
Some of the factors for Joe Biden's victory in Arizona were a growing Latin population leaning towards the Democratic Party and a surge in voters moving to Arizona from more liberal states like California and Illinois. Suburban voters are conspicuously desperate for the Republican Party led by someone like Trump.
Arizona, which is now "blue states" - a term for territory controlled by Democrats - is moving closer to neighboring Nevada, where Democrats have also taken control of government. This takes Nevada away from traditional right-spectrum tendencies.
The Democratic Party's victory finally landed in Maricopa County, Arizona. Maricopa County is the fastest growing area in Arizona. Arizona has transformed over the past two decades into a large metropolitan center and a planned community.
"Maricopa County won the state of Arizona for Mark Kelly and Joe Biden," said Steven Slugocki, chairman of the Maricopa County Democratic Party. "At Maricopa, we are committed with our resources to reach out to voters of color, women, and traditionally underrepresented groups across the state. Our strategy has proven effective."
After 1948Biden is the second Democrat to win Arizona since 1948, which Harry Truman won. Bill Clinton came close to winning Arizona in 1996, but Arizona moved further to the right in the next two decades.
At that time the people chose hardline immigration supporters such as Governor Jan Brewer and Joe Arpaio. Back then Brewer and Arpaio were expected to pass laws such as SB 1070, a controversial state law that requires officers to conduct immigration checks while enforcing other laws.

Biden's victory in Arizona wasn't because Trump didn't try hard. Trump staged seven events in Arizona in 2020. While Biden staged only one event after the Democratic National Convention during the summer and a campaign bus tour in October.
However, Trump's activities did not close the eyes of the people of Arizona who wanted change. In addition, a one-time visit by Biden which directly focused on education, health care and the economy most importantly,
