Barcer Of Scattered Goods For Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Intended For Social Purposes In Saudi Arabia

MEKKAH - The scattered goods belonging to the pilgrims at the airport that cannot be taken on flights to the country will not be destroyed but will be handed over for social purposes in Saudi Arabia.

"Barcers (scattered items) were handed over for social purposes in Saudi Arabia," said Saudi Arabia's PPIH chairman Arsad Hidayat, quoted from the Hajj Media Center in Medina, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 2.

Arsad said the committee did not facilitate the delivery of the congregation's barcer.

"When we were hit by a raid at the airport, we from PPIH also couldn't send it to the country. It was a long time ago that we didn't send barcers," he said.

For this reason, he reminded the congregation to ensure that the goods purchased were in accordance with existing regulations so that they could be transported to the plane.

According to regulations, the Ministry of Religion has agreed with the airline that the goods that are allowed to be carried by the congregation are one luggage bag with a maximum of 32 kg, one hand bag with a capacity of 7 kg and then a passport bag.

He did not forbid the congregation to buy souvenirs, pilgrims can take advantage of cargo delivery services.

But there are still pilgrims who carry small bags other than those specified, as a result they have to be left at the airport.

"I think the airline is considering this regarding flight safety," he said.
