Police Thwart The Smuggling Of 30 Green Turtles

DENPASAR - The smuggling of green turtles was again thwarted by the Bali Police team. This time, 30 green turtles were secured from smuggling attempts.

"The evidence is 30 green turtles and a Gran Max car," said Head of Sub-Directorate IV of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bali Police AKBP Umar, Tuesday, August 2.

Two suspected smugglers were arrested, with the initials PT and SR.

The disclosure of turtle smuggling began with public information regarding the shipment of protected animals into Bali.

From the investigation, it is known that the smuggling took place at 04.15 WITA on Jalan Raya Ketewel, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

"The evidence found has been deposited with the Bali BKSDA," he said.
