Commander General Andika Proposes A More Flexible Male-female Quota For PK Officers In The TNI
JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa submitted a proposal to the Personnel Assistant regarding the mechanism for the number of admissions for prospective career soldier officers (PK) to be more flexible and not pegged to a specified number.
"This (the number) of men and women is limiting, it has been set that much. So, if possible, starting next year maybe the quota for men and women is in the range, not numbers," said Andika Perkasa quoted from the YouTube channel @ Jendral TNI Andika Perkasa, Antara, Monday, August 1.
He gave an example, for example the total number of PK officers that will be accepted is 138 people. When using the current mechanism, the quota for men is 114 people and the number for women is 24 people.
In the future, Andika hopes that this number can be changed to a range so that the male quota is between 100-114 people, while the female quota is 24-34 people.
"So, the important allocation is 138, but the number of men and women can be flexible," said Andika when evaluating the mechanism for accepting PK TNI officers for Health Workers for Fiscal Year 2022.
Thus, Andika hopes that the recruitment of TNI PK officers specifically for health workers can more easily prioritize quality and not merely be fixated on a predetermined quota.
Selection of PK TNI officers is based on a comprehensive assessment of various fields, ranging from health, intelligence or intelligence, physical, to psychology. The selection took place strictly to ensure that the TNI obtained the best officers.
Based on the uploads on General TNI Andika Perkasa's YouTube channel, it can be seen that Andika firmly aborts participants who are considered to be poor in self-control under pressure. "Yes, drop," said Andika Perkasa.
