JAKARTA - The Secretary General of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) DPP Habib Aboe Bakar Alhabsy said his party visited the General Elections Commission (KPU) office to register as participants in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) on Monday, August 1, morning.
Aboe said, PKS wants to bring a happy atmosphere at every stage of the election. So the nuances of the Betawi cultural parade with doorstops followed by hadroh music were carried by PKS when they visited the KPU office in Central Jakarta.
"In addition to bringing a happy atmosphere, this is also a form of our preservation of Indonesian culture," Aboe told reporters, Monday, August 1.
Aboe emphasized that before registering as a participant in the 2024 General Election, PKS was serious about preparing political party verification requirements
"We want to actively participate in the 2024 election, so we are trying to register on the first day. This is part of our spirit to succeed in the upcoming elections," he added.
"Alhamdulillah, all the requirements that must be uploaded to Sipol have been met. Starting from the profile, management, office to members, all have green ticks. In addition, the LO from PKS has consulted the KPU for technical registration," he said.
Aboe stated that PKS also followed all the procedures set by the KPU in the process of registering election participants when they arrived at the KPU office. It is known that the registration of participants in the 2024 General Election begins today, August 1, 2022. The deadline for the registration process for election participants at the KPU is 14 days. Later, the registration period will be on August 1 to 13 at 08.00-16.00 WIB, while on August 14 it will be from 08.00 to 24.00 WIB.
