Played 45 Minutes When Manchester United Faced Rayo Vallecano, Cristiano Ronaldo: Glad To Be Back

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo has finally returned to play for Manchester United amid the polemic over the issue of his desire to leave.

The Portuguese player played during Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford, Sunday, July 31. Cristiano Ronaldo played 45 minutes in that match.

Cristiano Ronaldo missed a number of pre-season games with Manchester United. Including when the Red Devils lost 0-1 to Atletico Madrid in Oslo, the day before the match against Rayo.

After the match against Rayo, Crisriano Ronaldo posted a photo of himself with the caption "It's good to be back".

The 37-year-old Portuguese striker was absent from the pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia for personal reasons. However, rumors are that the player does want to move.

New United manager Erik ten Hag said on the club's official website that the squad against Rayo was "a mix of experience and youth."

"You see the attitude of the team is very good, really intend to work together. They fight and work for each other. That's positive," he continued as quoted by Antara via AFP.

New signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez also featured in this match. They played for an hour.

Amad Diallo, who was on loan at Rangers last season, put United ahead early in the second half. The 20-year-old Ivory Coast winger fired home a gag ball after Alex Telles' shot was blocked by goalkeeper Rayo.

But this lead did not last long after Alvaro Garcia equalized in the same way.
