Want To Report Kominfo Impact Of Block Policy, PSI Opens Complaint Channels, Opens Possible Legal Steps
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) has opened a channel for complaints from parties who feel aggrieved due to the unilateral termination of the Electronic System Operator (PSE) conducted by the Ministry of Communication and Information.
This was conveyed by former PSI politician Rian Ernest through his Twitter account, @rianernesto, Sunday, July 31. He said people who feel aggrieved can report to the PSI Legal Aid Institute (LBH).
"Friends who feel aggrieved by the government's actions can complain to LBH PSI @psi_id," said Rian.
In more detail, Rian explained about his complaint channel. He provides an online link that can be accessed openly by the public by first stating their identity.
In addition, the link also asks for a report to be completed with details of events that were harmed due to the blocking of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics. Including uploading complementary files related to the losses experienced.
"Via https://lbh.psi.id/form-bantuan- Hukum/," he said.
Rian admitted, LBH PSI will follow up reports from the public regarding the losses suffered due to the blocking of 8 PSEs, namely Yahoo search engines, Steam, Dota2, Counter-Strike, EpicGames, Origin.com, Xandr.com and Paypal.
"We are currently investigating the block carried out by @kemkominfo," he said.
Recently, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics has temporarily blocked Paypal due to the consequences of the platform not registering as a PSE in Indonesia.
This effort was made by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics so that Paypal users in the country can migrate funds.
PayPal is a service for sending funds from and out of the country. Usually this platform is used by freelancers or content creators working with foreign companies.
