Vice President: Meaning Of Islamic New Year 1444 H For Better Hijrah
JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin hopes that Muslims in Indonesia can interpret the Islamic New Year 1444 H as a momentum to emigrate to a better direction, as individuals, groups, and nations.
"Because hijrah is not only defined as moving from one place to another, but also to make a complete change from a bad situation to a good one and even to a better one," said the Vice President, in an online Happy Islamic New Year 1444 H greeting which monitored in Jakarta, Saturday.
The Vice President requested that in this Islamic New Year the integrity of the Indonesian nation is further strengthened, both through brotherhood among Muslims, countrymen and countrymen, as well as between humans, as the main capital for the continuation of national development through strengthening ukhuwah Islamiah, ukhuwah wathaniyah, and ukhuwah insaniyah.
The vice president also appealed to all Muslims in the country to continue to pray to Allah SWT while asking for the safety of the nation.
"I wish you a Happy Islamic New Year, 1 Muharram 1444 H to all Muslims in the country. Hopefully we can live up to the meaning of this Islamic New Year by continuously increasing faith and piety to Allah SWT and increasing the positive contribution of Muslims to the life of society, nation and state," said the Vice President.
