PMK Task Force: 746,243 Livestock Already Vaccinated
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling Mouth and Nail Diseases (Satgas PMK) reported that 746,243 farm animals had been vaccinated.
According to data from the PMK Task Force as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 29, all of the livestock that have been vaccinated are cows.
A total of 22 provinces have contracted FMD, and 272 districts/cities have been infected.
Meanwhile, throughout Indonesia, there were 442,510 livestock infected with FMD. A total of 425,041 cows were infected.
Currently, 198,074 livestock have not recovered. However, 233,145 tails have recovered from FMD.
A total of 4,306 livestock died, and 6,987 were subject to conditional slaughter.
The highest cases of PMK have not recovered per province, namely East Java, but at the same time it is also the province with the most recovered livestock. Animals that die due to FMD are mostly found in West Java.
