'Takbir! Disband SCBD CFW', Shouts One Of The Tenabang Youth Leaders Who Denies The Existence Of Citayam Fashion Week Dukuh Atas
JAKARTA - A wave of rejection of the crowded point of the SCBD Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) trend at the zebra cross in the Dukuh Atas area has again emerged from a number of residents of Tanah Abang District.
A number of Tanah Abang residents who are members of the Guyub Tenabang (RGT) Rukun also urged the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to enforce Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government should (immediately) take action against (CFW) in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation," said Tenabang Youth Leader Heru Nuryaman when confirmed by VOI, Friday, July 29.
Citayam Fashion Week is indicated to have violated the Traffic and Road Transportation Law because it uses a crosswalk that is not according to its designation, thus disturbing pedestrian facilities.
"We (Tanah Abang residents) reject the SCBD CFW event as a gathering place, openly engaging in LGBT activities," he said.
A number of Tenabang residents also asked for the CFW activity to be disbanded immediately.
"We, the big family of RGT and the people of Tanah Abang, reject SCBD CFW activities that deviate from the norms of society in Tanah Abang. Allahuakbar, dissolve SCBD CFW," he said.
Previously reported, Tanah Abang youth leader Heru Nuryaman highlighted the Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) trend in the Dukuh Atas area, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, which continues to attract controversy from various circles.
Moreover, the rise of young men dressed as women who took part in the street fashion show made the people of Tanah Abang furious.
"Yes, it's true (the Tenabang residents) refused. Yes (rejected LGBT)," said Heru Nuryaman when confirmed by VOI, Friday, July 29.
Previously, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, stated that he would not prohibit the action of teenagers from holding a fashion show or Citayam Fashion Week in Dukuh Atas or currently known as "SCBD".
"As long as there is no letter, there is no prohibition," said Anies at Jakarta City Hall, Friday.
