JK Talks About The Myriad Of Experiences Of Appi Candidates For Mayor Of Makassar
MAKASSAR- A senior political figure who is also the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla (JK), spoke about the competence of his nephew Munafri Arifuddin (Appi). Appi who runs as a candidate for mayor of Makassar is considered experienced and worthy of leading Makassar City.
"In the government he immediately, in the family of descent knows understands, understands business too. Apart from that organizing sports, it is complete, actually, I have also been chairman of the 10-year PSM, he is this successor," said JK in a video statement seen by VOI, Wednesday, November 11th.
JK said that the progress of Makassar City really depends on services, trade, banking, education so that Makassar becomes an attraction. Appi candidate number 2 in the Makassar Pilkada is called JK having that experience.
"Of course, those who are chosen, of course, have the ability, Appi has experience there," said JK.
Appi, born in Majene, 20 September 1975 is an Indonesian businessman who serves as the CEO of the PSM Makassar football club. He was at the Bosowa Group before moving to the football club.
In 2018, Appi advanced in the Makassar Pilkada with NasDem's Rachmatika Dewi (Cicu). Appi-Cicu became the sole candidate after his opponent was disqualified. But Appi lost against an empty box in the 2018 Makassar Pilkada.
In 2016, the PSM Makassar shareholder meeting chose Munafri as the new CEO of the football club to replace Rully Habibie. Previously, Munafri served in a number of clubs such as Hasanuddin FC and Perseka Bosowa.
This time Appi is back forward in the 2020 Makassar Pilkada. He is paired with Abdul Rahman Bando, which is currently supported by Democrat, PPP, Perindo and also supported by PSI.
