Ojek Driver In Deiyai Papua Hacked By OTK To Death, Police Investigate Perpetrator
JAYAPURA - The Deiyai Papua Police are handling the murder case of an ojek driver allegedly committed by 2 perpetrators.
"Yes, that's right, we received a report of the murder of motorcycle taxi driver La Saharuddin (40) at the Dama bridge, Damabagata Village, Tigi Timur District, Deiyai Regency on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at around 15.00 WIT," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal. through a written statement, Wednesday, July 27.
Kombes Kamal explained that the incident occurred when the victim took passengers to the Damabagata village, East Tigi District, Deiyai Regency, to be precise on the Damabagata Bridge.
"Suddenly the victim was stopped by two OTK people and was immediately stabbed to the right in the left side of the neck which resulted in the victim being MD (Died)," continued Kombes Kamal.
According to the police, the victim's motorbike was taken away by the perpetrators of the stabbing and the passengers.
"The type of motorbike that was taken away was a red Yamaha Jupiter Z without a Nopol / DS," said Kombes Kamal.
After receiving the incident report, joint personnel immediately went to the location to process the crime scene (TKP). Meanwhile, the victim's body was evacuated to the Madi Paniai Hospital.
"In the vicinity of the crime scene, personnel found a knife sheath about 5 meters from the victim's position," continued Kombes Kamal.
Currently, the body is buried in the morgue of the Madi Paniai Hospital
"It is planned that the victim's body will be taken to Nabire Regency to be buried by his family," said Kombes Kamal.
