Medan Streets Can No Longer Be Dark, Bobby Nasution Is Ready To Revitalize Public Street Lighting For The Bright Medan Program

MEDAN - In order to support and make the Medan Bright program a success, the Medan City Government through the Medan City Sanitation and Park Service will revitalize public street lighting (PJU) and Smart Roadway System Monitoring throughout the city of Medan so that no more areas are not covered by street lights.

This was revealed when the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution listened to the Presentation of the Feasibility Study Document for the LED-Type Public Street Lighting Revitalization Project along with the Smart Roadway System Monitoring delivered by the Cakra Buana APEX Consortium at Medan City Hall.

The son-in-law of President Joko Widodo said that the problem of street lighting in the city of Medan is one of the most common complaints submitted by the public. Moreover, he said, there are still a number of points in the city of Medan that are not covered by PJU. "That's why we are trying to make the Medan Bright program a success," said Bobby Nasution, quoted from a written statement by the Medan City Government Public Relations, Wednesday, July 27.

Through this Bright Medan Program, Bobby Nasution wants all areas in Medan City to be bright with good quality. One of the policies carried out to realize a Bright Medan, the Medan City Government carried out the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (PPP) scheme.

After listening to the presentation given, Bobby Nasution hoped that the addition of the budget made by the Sanitation and Parks Office would not be too far to realize the Medan Bright program. "In addition to the Bright Field, what we want to achieve from the revitalization of this PJU lamp is efficiency," he said

Bobby Nasution hopes that PT PII will continue to support and guide the Medan City Government to make the Medan Bright program a success through the PPP scheme. This is because the Bright Medan program is one of the visions and missions that we want to immediately realize so that the capital city of North Sumatra Province becomes bright.

Previously, the Head of Medan City Bappeda Benny Iskandar revealed that there were four companies, one of which was the APEX Cakra Buana Consortium which expressed interest in implementing a PPP scheme for infrastructure development in order to realize the vision and mission of the Mayor of Medan to realize a Bright Medan.

Benny explained that the implementation of the program has been carried out from the beginning and continues to receive guidance from Bappenas and PT PII. Thus, he said, what was done was in accordance with applicable regulations and obtained maximum results. "If this is successful, then Medan will be the first city to carry out a PPP scheme for its entire territory," said Benny.
