West Java Provincial Government Targets Road Repairs In Cianjur To Be Completed By The End Of The Year
CIANJUR - The West Java Provincial Government targets the repair of provincial roads that stretches in the southern region of Cianjur, West Java, to be fully completed by the end of 2022.
"I came to Cianjur including to monitor the repairs to the provincial roads that are already underway. If it is not finished, we will increase the budget," said West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil in Cianjur as reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 26.
Kang Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname, admitted that road repairs had been disrupted during the pandemic, because a budget of Rp. 5 trillion was diverted for handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, his party re-rolled funds for the repair and construction of damaged provincial roads in Cianjur along tens of kilometers stretching from Cibeber sub-district to Sindangbarang.
"It should have been completed two years ago, but the budget was diverted so that only this year we will fix it. We are trying to finish it on time, if it is not enough, we will budget it again next year," he said.
Previously, the West Java Provincial Government spent Rp. 33.5 billion for repairs to the provincial road that stretches on the southern route of Cianjur. This road was complained by residents from various circles, including the student association of southern Cianjur who had carried out the action of planting bananas.
The road repair uses the 2022 West Java Province pure APBD, with the stages of work divided into four sections, namely Cibeber, Cibeber-Sukanagara, Sukanagara and Sukanagara-Sindangbarang along 28 kilometers.
