"The investigative team has completed carrying out forced searches and seizures of several assets with economic value suspected of belonging to the suspect RHP," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, 26 July.
Ali said the assets seized on July 22 were houses and cars. Both belonged to Ricky, who allegedly came from the proceeds of bribes and gratuities.
"The assets in question include houses and motorized vehicles in the form of cars," he said.
Furthermore, the various assets will be analyzed and confirmed to other parties. "The confiscation of these assets is also part of the initial effort to recover the proceeds of corruption that were enjoyed by the perpetrators," said Ali.
As previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification in Central Mamberamo. A number of witnesses have been called and searches have been carried out.
However, in the midst of this investigation, the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak fled. He fled to Papua New Guinea by way of a rat with the help of his aides.
