COVID-19 Update As Of July 26: 6,483 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 43,422

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 141,961 specimens were examined with the results of 6,483 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,178,873 people and active cases have increased by 2,959 to 43,422 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, July 26.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,511 cases, bringing the total to 5,978,522 recovered people. Then, there were 13 positive confirmed deaths and a total of 156,929 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 2,974 cases and a total of 1,316,591 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,334 new cases with a total of 1,129,086 cases. Banten has 952 new cases and a total of 308,350 cases. Then, East Java with 412 new cases and a total of 583,592 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,513 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 656 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 634 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 299 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 103,116,512.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 5.94 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 7,071 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 202,268,728 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,882,385. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 54,941,943. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
