After The Citayam Fashion Week Polemic, DJKI Suggests Baim Wong Cs Revoke The Application For Trademark Registration

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights suggested that Baim Wong and other parties withdraw the application for registration of the Citayam Fashion Week brand.

The goal is to end the current polemic.

The Acting Director General of Intellectual Property Razilu said that there were three parties who applied for the registration of the Citayam Fashion Week brand.

They are PT Tiger Wong Entertainment owned by Baim Wong, Indigo Aditya Nugroho and Daniel Handoko Santoso.

However, continued Razilu, the application registered by Indigo Aditya Nugroho has been revoked again on July 25, 2022.

He also appreciated Indigo Aditya Nugroho's decision.

Razilu hopes that other parties who are also registering brands for Citayam Fashion Week can do the same with Indigo Aditya Nugroho.

"Our real hope is that this polemic will not continue in the future. The parties who have submitted, take the same attitude as Mas Indigo Aditya Nugroho to withdraw. So that the process is not sustainable in our place," he said at a press conference at the Gedung S. Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Tuesday, July 26.

Furthermore, Razilu claimed to have heard information that Baim Wong would withdraw the application for the Citayam Fashion Week brand.

"We have heard the information, but if we have not formally requested a recall, we will not issue a recall either," said Razilu.

According to Razilu, if Baim Wong has applied for the cancellation of the trademark registration on behalf of Citayam Fashion Week, the status will be withdrawn.

For example, such as the trademark recall application made by Indigo.

On the official page pdki-indonesia.dgip.co.id the application on behalf of Indigo is now written '(TM) withdrawn'. The application is listed with the number JID2022052496.

"And there will be a status in the intellectual property database (DJKI) so that the status will be withdrawn. So until now there is nothing," he said.
