Check TV Presenter Brigita Manohara, KPK Investigate Money Flow From Central Mamberamo Regent
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has investigated a private television presenter, Brigita Purnawati Manohara on Monday, July 25. From his examination as a witness, the KPK investigated several things, including the flow of money from the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak.
"Brigita Purnawati Manohara, from the private sector, was present and confirmed, among other things, regarding the alleged flow of money from the suspect RHP, the Regent of Central Mamberamo to several parties, one of which was received by the witness," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, 26 July.
It was not specified how much money Brigita received. However, the KPK appreciates his attitude of wanting to return the money or goods that have been given to him by Ricky.
It is known, Brigita admitted that she had received money and gifts from Ricky. He conveyed this confession to reporters after being questioned yesterday.
According to him, the gift is a form of Ricky's appreciation for his work as a presenter and communication consultant. However, Brigita did not specify how much money she received.
Returning to Ali, the KPK confirmed that this refund would be analyzed and reconfirmed. Relevant parties will continue to be called upon.
"KPK appreciates the cooperative attitude of the witnesses who were present and will return the amount of money and goods that have been received from the suspect in question," said Ali.
"And then it will be analyzed and then confirmed again to the suspect and various parties who will be called as witnesses by the investigation team," he continued.
As previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification in Central Mamberamo. A number of witnesses have been called and searches have been carried out.
However, in the midst of this investigation, the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak fled. He fled to Papua New Guinea by way of a rat with the help of his aides.
The anti-corruption commission investigators are still pursuing Ricky. People who know Ricky's whereabouts are asked to provide information.
