Bareskrim Says ACT Misappropriated Boeing Funds For Lion Air Accident Victims Of Rp34 Billion, Sharia Cooperatives 212 Rp10 Billion
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police found that Boeing funds were misappropriated for the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash by the charity Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT). The results of the investigation, the nominal reached Rp. 34 billion.
"The remaining Rp34 billion was used not according to its designation," said Deputy Director of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department, Kombes Helfi Assegaf, to reporters on Monday, July 25.
Originally, Boeing provided aid funds for the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash in the amount of billions. However, only Rp. 103 billion was used.
According to him, the tens of billions of dollars were used by ACT for various things. For example, the procurement of a rice truck fleet worth Rp. 2 billion. Then the big food bus program worth Rp. 2.8 billion, and the construction of the Tasikmalaya civilization boarding school worth Rp. 8.7 billion.
ACT also used funds from Boeing amounting to Rp3 billion to fund CV CUN's bailout. Finally, they also took funds worth IDR 7.8 billion as a bailout for PT MBGS.
"Furthermore, for sharia cooperatives 212, it is approximately Rp. 10 billion," said Helfi.
For information, Ahyudin and Ibnu Khajar were named as suspects in the alleged misappropriation of funds from the ACT charity foundation.
Then, investigators also named two other ACT officials as suspects. They have the initials H and NIA.
Although they have been named as suspects, they have not been arrested so far. Investigators will first coordinate to determine whether or not the four people are detained
In this case, the suspects are suspected of Article 372 and 374 of the Criminal Code, Article 45a Paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 28 Paragraph 1 of the ITE Law.
Then Article 70 Paragraphs 1 and 2 in conjunction with Article 5 of Law No. 28 of 2004 concerning foundations. As well as Articles 3, 4 and 5 concerning ML and Article 55 Jo 56 of the Criminal Code with the threat of 20 years in prison.
