90 Percent Of The Sangihe District Government Of North Sulawesi Distributed Scholarships For Underprivileged Students
SANGIHE - The Sangihe Islands Regency Government, North Sulawesi Province has prepared educational assistance or scholarships for students in the area whose parents are less able or have less income.
"Every year, the Sangihe Regency Government prepares funds for scholarships for students whose parents are underprivileged," said Head of the Welfare Section of the Sangihe Regency Government, Tomy Fredik in Tahuna, Antara, Monday, July 25.
He said that for the 2022 budget year, Rp269 million was available from the local Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
"The district government provides a budget of IDR 269 million in the 2022 budget for scholarships for underprivileged students," he said.
The scholarship, he said, was to finance the end of the D3 and D4 or S1 program studies.
"The D3 program receives Rp. 2 million in assistance and the D4 or S1 program receives Rp. 2.5 million in educational assistance," he said.
Currently, most of the scholarships have been distributed to student recipients of assistance.
"90 percent of the education aid funds have been distributed to students receiving aid," he said.
