Good News From The Ministry Of Finance's DGT, They Will Clarify The NIK Whose Status Is Not Yet Valid To Become NPWP
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) will make clarifications for the population identification number (NIK) whose status is not yet valid as a taxpayer identification number (NPWP) in DJP Online, e-mail, tax register, and/or channel. other.
"Full technical provisions, such as the procedure for applying for NIK activation, are currently being drafted internally by the DGT and will be published soon," said Director of Extension, Services and Public Relations at the Ministry of Finance, Neilmaldrin Noor, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 25.
According to him, for taxpayers who currently have an NPWP, especially for individual taxpayers who are residents, the NIK has immediately functioned as a new NPWP format for limited tax administration services.
However, there is a possibility that the taxpayer's NIK has invalid status because the taxpayer data has not matched the population data, for example, the residential address is different from the population data.
Meanwhile, for non-individual taxpayers, Neilmaldrin said that taxpayers can add a zero in front of the old TIN or 15-digit format, while for branch taxpayers, the DGT will be given an Identity Number of Business Activities.
For taxpayers who do not currently have an NPWP, three provisions will apply, namely, first for individual taxpayers who are residents, their NIK will be activated as NPWP through a registration application by the taxpayer himself or in office and still be given an NPWP in the format 15 digits that can be used until December 31, 2023.
The second provision is that corporate taxpayers, government agencies, and private individuals other than residents are given an NPWP in a 16-digit format through a registration application by the taxpayer himself or by office.
He continued, the third provision is for branch taxpayers to be given an Identity Number of Place of Business Activities and still be given a 15-digit NPWP format that can be used until December 31, 2023.
