Red Bull Racing Duet Is Expected To Score A Double Podium Again
JAKARTA - Red Bull Racing's Formula 1 team driver appeared quite dominant in a number of races and is expected to be able to score a double podium again after at the French GP at Paul Richard Circuit, last Sunday only Max Verstappen was on the podium while Sergio Perez finished fourth.
Max Verstappen, as quoted by Antara from the Formula 1 page on Monday, finished first after performing well in 53 laps, followed by Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) in second and George Russell (Mercedes) who finished in third.
"We hope to see two Red Bull Racing riders take the double podium again, and Sergio Perez back in the highest World Champion standings to be able to compete with Max Verstappen. Surely this result will be a source of pride for Mobil™ Lubricants," said Market Development Director PT ExxonMobil Lubricants. Indonesia (PT EMLI) Sri Adinegara in an official statement.
The duo of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez did score a double podium several times, including in the races at the Azerbaijan GP, Emeilia Romagna GP, and the Catalunya GP.
With the result at the French GP, Max Verstappen is firmly at the top of the Formula 1 standings with 233 points, followed by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc with 170 points and in third place is Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing with 163 points.
Even though he currently controls the top of the Formula 1 standings, Max Verstappen admits that the competition to become world champion is still open because there are still eleven more series to face. Preparations are also quite open with his teammate, Sergio Perez.
"But there are still many more draws, and as much as possible continue to add important points, because the fight is not over yet," said the Dutch rider.
Verstappen said the race was getting tougher. Like what happened at the French GP. But he was quite regretful because the exciting spectacle with Charles Leclerc had to end sooner after the driver from the Ferrari team twisted on the side of the track at Turn 11 on lap 18.
After finishing the race at the next French GP, the Red Bull Racing team will be aiming for a win with a double podium at the Hungarian GP at the Hungaroring Circuit on 31 July.
