Many Pickpockets In Dukuh Atas CFW, Police Say There Are 50 Missing Cellphones, Some Are Priced At Rp. 20 Million

JAKARTA – In the midst of the Citayam Fashion Show (CFW) debate which was held at the Dukuh Atas zebra crossing, Central Jakarta, there was an incident of stolen motor vehicle theft at that location. Not only that, dozens of cellphones were stolen. It is suspected that there were many pickpockets at the location.

Menteng Metro Police Chief AKBP Netty Rosdiana Siagian confirmed the motorcycle theft.

"The theft of motorbikes and cellphones was at the Dukuh Atas fashion show," said Netty when contacted by reporters, Monday, July 25.

AKBP Netty further explained that the victim had made a report to the Tanah Abang Metro Police. According to him, currently the Dukuh Atas area is prone to crime after it became a trend and went viral on social media.

"But the TKP is Tanah Abang, so I made a report to the Tanah Abang Police," he said.

Confirmed separately, Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin confirmed the pickpocket in the Dukuh Atas area. However, the victims so far have not officially reported.

"If I hear that there are reports of pickpockets there, there are no official reports," he said.

Meanwhile, based on information gathered from one of the officers, in one day there were 5 teenagers who lost their cellphones. Even since the fashion show, 50 cellphones have been lost.

"In total, there are 50 cellphones that were lost. Finally, there was a woman who lost a cellphone worth Rp. 20 million," said one member who did not want to be named.
