Reject The Job Creation Law, FSPASI Workers Bring Replicas Of Handcuffs And Ear Matches

JAKARTA - Massa from the Federation of Indonesian Various Sector Workers Unions (FSPASI) took action against Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation. In the action, they brought two replica handcuffs of Styrofoam.

This replica of the handcuffs is called a demonstration that will be given to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the DPR who are considered to have violated the law because they do not want to revoke the Job Creation Law which they think is detrimental to the workers.

"If Jokowi does not revoke the Job Creation Law, we suspect that there has been a violation of the law," said an orator from the command car at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue Area, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 10.

"One handcuff for Jokowi, one handcuff for DPR members. Because we suspect there is a violation of the law in the Job Creation Law," they added.

Apart from carrying handcuffs, the FSPASI crowd also carried earplugs. They felt the need to bring it because they felt that President Jokowi had not listened to the people's request that the Job Creation Law be repealed immediately through the issuance of a Perppu.

"We bring earplugs because we may have clogged ears, so we don't listen to people's aspirations," said the orator.

Regarding the current conditions in the vicinity of the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue Area at 15.20 WIB, a number of masses continued to arrive. One of them is the newly joined Student Executive Board Alliance (BEM SI).

Apart from that, a number of labor organizations are still making speeches. All the protesters who came had a similar request, namely wanting President Jokowi to revoke the Job Creation Law and issue a Perppu.
