JAKARTA - The National Police confiscated two cellphones belonging to Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J as part of an effort to find out the facts behind the bloody incident at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's halfway house. Both phones are being investigated by the Forensic Laboratory.

"The Forensic Laboratory has two cellphones that have been secured by the Forensic Laboratory and all of them are still being investigated by the forensic laboratory," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, July 22.

However, Inspector General Dedi did not reveal the provisional results of the investigation of the two cellphones.

This is in line with the direction of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, prioritizing scientific-based investigations.

Previously, the family's attorney asked the Police to open the recording of the last conversation of Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J before the bloody incident at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's halfway house.

This request is in line with the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) which stated that the handling of the bloody incident of Brigadier J was not covered up.

"Call Detail Record (CDR) of cellphones must be opened immediately," said Brigadier J's family attorney, Johnson Pandjaitan when contacted, Friday, July 22.

The goal is that the family does not doubt all the results of the investigation and investigation behind the death of Brigadier J.

Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J died at the halfway house of the Head of the Propam Division of the National Police Inspector General Ferdy Sambo in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, on Friday, July 8.
