Many Congregants Were Surprised To Enter Planes And Hotels, Commission VIII Asked For This To Be Input For Next Year's Ritual Material
JAKARTA - Commission VIII of the House of Representatives considers that there are many things that must be addressed in the implementation of the 2022 hajj pilgrimage. Namely, related to technical matters included in the Hajj rituals, such as boarding planes and staying at hotels. Chairman of Commission VIII DPR Yandri Susanto saw that there were still many pilgrims who were not familiar with these technical matters. Therefore, Yandri asked the government to fix the implementation of the hajj in next year's hajj season.
"So it's not just a prayer, just throwing a jumroh, tawaf, that's not all rituals," said Yandri to reporters, Friday, July 22.
"Manasik must also be addressed because many of the pilgrims from the village have never been on a plane, have never seen a hotel, have never been in an air-conditioned room," he continued.
Therefore, according to the Deputy Chair of the MPR, it is important that detailed technical matters are included in the material for the upcoming Hajj rituals. Especially regarding the process of departure for Hajj.
"In my opinion, the problem is fundamental and there are many problems because, on average, almost 30 percent of the education side did not finish elementary school. So, the Ministry of Religion's Hajj rituals must be inserted or perfected with matters relating to going from home to home again," said Yandri .
