BMKG Detects 46 Hotspots In East Kalimantan
BALIKPAPAN - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) through a station in Balikpapan City detected 46 hot spots spread over five districts/cities in East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim).
"A total of 46 hot spots were monitored today from 01.00 to 17.00 WITA," said Class I Station Forecaster Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan BMKG Balikpapan Ilham Rosihan Fachturoni as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.
He immediately informed the distribution of 46 hot spots to related parties, especially to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) both at the East Kalimantan Province and local districts/cities in order to receive further treatment.
The day before, BMKG Balikpapan also detected as many as 21 hot spots spread over six districts/cities and immediately informed the relevant parties, so that they received treatment.
Meanwhile, the 46 hotspots detected today are hotspots located in different locations, although they are still in the same district.
The details of 46 hotspots spread over five areas in East Kalimantan today are 2 points in Bontang City, 4 in Berau Regency, 5 points in Kutai Kartanegara, 22 points in East Kutai, and 13 points in Mahakam Ulu Regency.
The breakdown of hotspots per district/city is that 2 hotspots in Bontang are located in one sub-district, namely South Bontang District.
Then 4 points in Berau are spread over three sub-districts, namely 2 points in Biatan District, 1 point in Segah District, and 1 point in Tabalar District.
For the 5 hot spots in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, he continued, the five were spread over five sub-districts, namely Kenohan, Loa Kulu, Muara Wis, Sebulu, and Tabang sub-districts.
Furthermore, 22 hotspots are in East Kutai Regency, spread over eight sub-districts, namely 1 in Bengalon, 1 in Kaliorang, 7 in Kombeng, 1 in Muara Wahau, 6 in Rantau Pulung, and 1 in North Sangatta, 3 in Teluk Pandan, and 2 in Telen District.
"Meanwhile, 13 hot spots in Mahakam Ulu are spread over three sub-districts, namely 1 point in Laham District, 4 points in Long Apari, and 2 points in Long Pahangai District," said Ilham.
