Deputy Chairperson Of DPD Gerindra DKI: What's The Business Of The East Jakarta DPC Suing Prabowo, Who Is He To Pressure The DPP?
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of DKI Gerindra DPD Jimmy Alexander Turangan questioned the capacity of the East Jakarta Gerindra DPC chairman who sued Gerindra Party DPP chairman Prabowo Subianto for not firing Mohammad Taufik from the party.
According to Jimmy, the internal political dynamics of Gerindra DKI Jakarta finally warmed up after the rumors about the departure of Mohammad Taufik from the party bearing the garuda symbol.
"What is the business of the East Jakarta DPC suing the Guidance Council and the Gerindra Party DPP regarding the decision of the Gerindra Party Honorary Court which has not been implemented by the Gerindra DPP," Jimmy said in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.
The East Jakarta (Jaktim) DPC maneuver, he said, actually made light of the beginning of the dismissal of Mohammad Taufik by the Gerindra Party Honorary Court (MKP).
He suspected that the MKP's decision was due to a complaint from the East Jakarta DPC.
"It is clear here, it turns out that the MKP's decision arose because of a complaint from the East Jakarta DPC," he said.
According to him, it was very strange when he complained about Mohammad Taufik just because some of his statements were considered detrimental to the Gerindra Party.
“Indeed, who is he to pressure the DPP? Moreover, to sue in court," he said.
The former member of the DKI DPRD actually asked the DPP to fire Ali Hakim Lubis because the East Jakarta Gerindra cadre's maneuvers made the party even more murky.
"For all his behavior, I actually asked the DPP to fire him from the chairman of the DPC," he said.
He also revealed many examples of political parties not nominating their cadres in the presidential and regional elections. "Something that is commonplace. Moreover, the contestation for the presidential and regional elections for DKI is still long," he said.
Jimmy said that there were many examples in the election of presidential candidates or regional heads, not only from party cadres. "Moreover, at this time the Gerindra Party has no official declaration to support who is the presidential candidate and also the head of certain regions," he said.
The East Jakarta (Jaktim) Gerindra Party DPC sued the Gerindra DPP to fire Mohammad Taufik. They sued because the Gerindra DPP had not fired Mohammad Taufik as determined by the Gerindra Honorary Council.
The lawsuit was filed by the Chairperson of the Gerindra East Jakarta DPC Ali Hakim Lubis and the Secretary General of the East Jakarta Gerindra DPC Faisal S Nata. Meanwhile, Defendant I of the Gerindra Board of Trustees and Defendant II of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of Gerindra.
