Karawang Regency Government Promises To Overcome Problems In Distribution Of 3 Kg . Subsidized LPG
KARAWANG - The government of Karawang Regency, West Java, has promised to overcome the chaotic problem of distributing three kilograms of subsidized LPG so that it can be right on target.
"We have previously received a report regarding the problem of distributing subsidized LPG from the LPKSM (Institution of Non-Governmental Consumer Protection) Linkar. We will immediately follow up," said Karawang Regional Secretary Acep Jamhuri in Karawang, Antara, Thursday, July 21.
The report from LPKSM Linkar relates to the oddity surrounding the distribution of the 3 kilograms of subsidized LPG. Among the peculiarities are the inaccuracy of distribution and the price that far exceeds the HET.
"Later on, we will accelerate the range of control over the distribution of subsidized LPG so that prices are controlled in every sub-district in Karawang," he said.
This must be done, because the impact of the unequal distribution of subsidized LPG will harm the poor.
The regulations will also be made clearly related to the target and price, so that in the future, the implementation of LPG distribution can be right on target, effective, and efficient throughout the Karawang area.
Meanwhile, Assistant Region II Pemkab Karawang Hanafi conveyed the problem of distributing subsidized LPG starting from distributors who distribute not based on region.
"There is an LPG distributor in Cikampek, for example, who actually sells subsidized LPG to other sub-districts. The Rengasdengklok distributor sells it to Cikampek. So, it's chaotic," he said.
