Four Persecutors Of TNI Members In Sumedang Arrested
JAKARTA - The Sumedang Police Team, West Java, arrested four perpetrators of the assault case of a TNI soldier from the Unit Yonif 301 Prabu Kian Santang. The persecution on Jalan Raya Cadas Pangeran, Sumedang which caused the victim to undergo medical treatment because he suffered a beating wound.
"The suspect has been detained by the Sumedang Police Criminal Unit," said Sumedang Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo Robbyanto to reporters in Sumedang, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 9.
He said the four suspects had previously reportedly abused Pratu Muhammad Asrul, a medical member of the Infantry Battalion Unit 301 Prabu Kian Santang Kodam III / Siliwangi on Friday, November 6.
From that report, said Eko, his staff immediately moved and finally succeeded in arresting the perpetrators, namely the initials ES, NM, SA, and IR in Sumedang and Bandung Regency, Saturday, November 7.
"Based on the police report, the Sumedang Police Criminal Investigation Unit moved quickly to secure the suspects on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in several different locations in the Sumedang and Bandung areas," said the Police Chief.
Eko explained that the persecution case started when the victim did not know that the rearview mirror of the car he was driving grazed a pedestrian in the Cadas Pangeran area.
Then the victim's vehicle was followed by a group of people who were suspects riding three motorbikes, then ordered the victim to get out of the car until an argument broke out.
A number of perpetrators took turns hitting the victim's face with their bare hands which caused the victim to experience bruises on the right side of her face and noses.
"Due to the incident, the victim was accompanied by the Sumedang Denpom to make a police report at the Sumedang Police and conduct a post mortem," he said.
The four suspects are currently in the Sumedang Police Headquarters detention cell to undergo legal proceedings.
The suspects charged under Article 170 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 351 paragraph 1 concerning public violence against people or property and criminal maltreatment.
