Russia Wants To Work On Films And Commercials On The Space Station

JAKARTA - The Russian space agency, Roscosmos, plans to make films and reality shows and even advertisements on the International Space Station (ISS). This means that outer space is no longer just a mere attempt at science but also to commercial business.

According to a report quoted by IFL Science, Monday, November 9, Roscosmos will cooperate with Russian television Channel One as well as Studio Yellow, Black, and White. They are planning the film 'The Challenge' which focuses on flights to the ISS in the Soyuz MS spacecraft.

Although there is no mention of the actors in this film, the plan for 'The Challenge' will be to star a tough woman who physically and psychologically becomes a cosmonaut. He also represents Russian characters aged 25 to 45, where he has the ability to swim, run and dive. He also needs to have good balance and flexibility.

"In a short time, we need more than just actresses, we need real superheroes. We are looking for a woman who is ready to play her role on Earth and also in outer space to complete the shooting task," said general producer Studio Yellow, Black, and White. Alexey Trotsyuk.

On the other hand, Roscosmos Chief Dmitry Rogozin said there will be training that provides insight into how quickly and efficiently a professional can be trained to go to space.

"This is a kind of space experiment. Actresses selected through competitions and medical commissions will perform the function of an astronaut researcher and become a full member of the crew," said Regozin.

To really get the actresses they want, the crew will select up to 30 finalists to enter a televised competition, where a winner and a successor will be selected.

The film, expected to be filmed in the fall of 2021, will likely precede the production of a film starring Tom Cruise, and director Klim Shipenko is also involved in the project.
