DKI Deputy Governor Asks To Pick Up Rizieq Shihab At The Airport Does Not Need Much

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked that many people not participate in the pick-up of the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) at Soekarno Hatta Airport.

This was conveyed by Riza Patria in response to the prediction of FPI officials that millions of followers would join in welcoming Rizieq's arrival in the country on Tuesday, November 10 tomorrow.

"If you pick them up from the airport, you don't need a lot. Later, if many pick up, let alone millions, of course this will cause a crowd," Riza told reporters, Monday, November 9.

The chairman of the Jakarta Gerindra Party DPD understands that Rizieq's pick-up at Soekarno-Hatta Airport has good intentions. However, the potential for crowds during a pandemic is not a good way because it has a risk of transmitting COVID-19.

"It is a good way, those who pick up are represented by figures who represent the community. Of course it must be noted that unnecessary crowds do not occur," said Riza.

"If later all of them come to the airport in droves, the airport will get stuck and there will be a crowd. The presence of Habib Rizieq is expected to provide coolness for the residents. For followers, supporters and so on," he continued.

For information, Rizieq's plane will take off from Saudi Arabia at around 24.00 local time. Rizieq is scheduled to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at around 09.00 WIB.

Rizieq plans to have four major agendas that will be carried out in the near future. After resting at his residence for three days, Rizieq will attend the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday at Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Assegaf's residence in the Tebet area on Friday, November 13.

Furthermore, Rizieq went straight to the Islamic Markaz Islamic Boarding School in Mega Mendung, Bogor, West Java to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the cottage.

Then, on Saturday, November 14, plans to hold the Prophet Muhammad's birthday at the FPI Headquarters, Petamburan, Central Jakarta. At the same time, Rizieq will also marry off his daughter, namely Syarifah Najwa Shihab.
