Minimarket Employees Perpetrators Of Robbery In Front Of The Baros Sukabumi Police Station Arrested By Police, At First Pretending To Be Victims
SUKABUMI - Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Baros Police and the Satreskrim of the Sukabumi City Police arrested two perpetrators of the 24-hour minimarket robbery on Jalan Raya Baros, Baros District, Sukabumi City, West Java.
"The two robbers who were arrested were one of the employees of the 'minimarket' that he robbed," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP SY Zainal Abidin as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 20.
According to Zainal, the disclosure of this robbery case was carried out by his party in less than 24 hours where this case was revealed after one of the robbers with the initials P, the minimarket employee, as a witness gave convoluted and changing information.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Baros Police who examined him were suspicious. Until finally, after being pressed by the suspect, P admitted that the robbery was initiated by him who was assisted by his colleague with the initials FS.
A week before the action was carried out, P had planned a robbery at his workplace by asking for help from FS.
The suspect FS agreed. This robbery action can be considered reckless because the minimarket is right in front of the Baros Police Headquarters.
After a neat plan, the robbery was carried out on Tuesday (19/7) in the morning at around 02.45 WIB. FS came to the minimarket and immediately took out an ax and then draped it over one of the minimarket employees, RF.
Under the threat of being killed if they fight back, RF also tells the location where the money vault is. In addition, FS also pretended to threaten P to immediately open the safe and finally Rp46.3 million was handed over to FS, who then ran away.
After the incident, P made an alibi by reporting the robbery case to the Baros Police. But instead of being able to deceive the Baros Police officer with the false information given by P, this minimarket employee was actually thrown into the Baros Police Headquarters cell.
"When asked for information, P looked confused and the answer was not clear. After being urged, P finally confessed and asked to contact his colleague, FS, to be lured out of hiding," he continued.
Zainal said that FS who came out of hiding was immediately arrested at around 08.30 WIB on Tuesday (19/7) around the mini market.
From the suspect's hands, the police managed to confiscate cash from the crime amounting to Rp. 46.3 million, two smartphones, a motorbike and a helmet and mask used by FS to cover his face in the robbery.
The two suspects are threatened with Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 9 years in prison.
The police said that P and FS agreed to divide the money from the robbery in half, but before the money was used, the robbery case was quickly revealed. The two suspects were also charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 9 years in prison.
