PGN Pipe Leak Incident At MT Haryono, Deputy Governor Of DKI Riza Confirms Evaluation Of TransJakarta Bus Stop Project

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) is evaluating the revitalization project for the TransJakarta bus stop near vital infrastructure, following the incident of a pipe leak belonging to the State Gas Company (PGN) on Jalan MT Haryono, Tebet, South Jakarta.

"This is everyone's concern, of course, our technicians ask to be more careful at work," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria at Jakarta City Hall, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 20.

Deputy Governor Riza asked related parties to follow up so as not to cause new problems.

"That's the process of renovating the bus stop there, then there might be a pipe hit there. That's our concern, it will be handled immediately," said Riza.

Meanwhile, regarding compensation from the project implementer, Riza will first confirm the condition of the project.

"We'll see, later we will check first," added Riza.

Currently, the DKI Provincial Government through the TransJakarta BUMD is carrying out 11 revitalization of busway stops.

Meanwhile, the Corporate Secretary of PT Waskita Karya, as the implementing contractor, Novianto Ari Nugroho said the incident occurred during the erection work which resulted in a pipe leak belonging to the State Gas Company (PGN).

The project team, he said, had coordinated with related parties, namely PGN, to close valves, repair leaking pipes, and sterilize work areas.

In addition, with the police to help regulate traffic and firefighters to anticipate the occurrence of sparks.

"We can say that in this incident there were no casualties and traffic on Jalan MT Haryono has been reopened," he said in an official statement.

His party has also mapped the gas pipeline with PGN before the work begins.

However, the incident still occurred even though the cause of the pipe leak was not explained.
