Rizieq Shihab's Story Who Accidentally Didn't Announce Parole: A Little Wrong Can Be Canceled

JAKARTA - Rizieq Shihab revealed the reason for today's parole which was deliberately not announced to the public because he was worried that the process would be disrupted due to violations. This conditional release process was intensively carried out by a team of lawyers and their colleagues both in GNPF, PA 212, and the DPP of the Islamic Brotherhood Front (FPI). Rizieq admitted that he always met with the Chairman of GNPF and the management of the FPI DPP to deal with parole and take care of all the administration. Until everyone agreed to keep Rizieq's release day a secret so that no violations were committed in every ongoing process. "We always meet regularly to discuss everything, how to make this parole process run smoothly. Including if someone asks why it is not announced, because we have a procedure for the journey from minute to minute, second to second, a little wrong can be canceled. So that We really take care of it in such a way that this parole has committed a violation," Rizieq said in a virtual press conference, Wednesday, July 20. Because if there is a violation during the process, continued Rizieq, today's parole will be canceled. So like it or not, Rizieq had to finish his prison term for one more year. Rizieq himself still has to report and follow the guidance of the Central Jakarta Penitentiary (Bapas) while undergoing the parole program before being released purely next year. "Because if I have committed a violation, I will be arrested again without a trial. remission. Therefore, please understand why the chief lawyer and all advocates are so careful in providing information about parole," he said. Rizieq also expressed his gratitude to the entire team of lawyers and legal team who had fought hard. Starting from the investigation, the police BAP to the delegation to the Prosecutor's Office until a court is held. "Even as you know I was sentenced to 4 years in prison. Then the lawyers continued to fight on appeal, still lost. Then the lawyers fought again at the appeal level and finally from 4 years to 2 years. So I can get parole today," Rizieq said.

"If it's still not lowered for 4 years, we still have 2 more years to get out. This is an extraordinary struggle," he continued. Rizieq also apologized to his lawyers if during his detention he often scolded him. "Please understand that sometimes our advocates nag too, we nag a little bit, it's over. So I apologize if in the process there have been harsh, harsh words, too many things that we demand from lawyers to work more," said Rizieq. For this conditional release, Rizieq added that he, together with the ulama, habaib, and kiai will continue the struggle to protect the people and revolutionize morality in a country that he considers to be increasingly damaged. "The highest appreciation goes to ulama, habaib, kiai, and people I know everywhere who don't stop sending prayers. The prayers you send are a strength for our souls, which actually we almost fell but got up again, almost bored but excited again So, all of your prayers are extraordinary. God willing, I, together with the habaib and kiai, who we have been fighting for all this time, will continue to struggle in the way of Allah. I will continue to convey that what is right is a right, but falsehood is false, even though the whole world is ridiculing it and facing the greatest risk. whatever. We will not betray the people. Let's together we echo the moral revolution," explained Rizieq. "We have a country where there is damage, everywhere there is evil and even lies have become entrenched. Our country is already an emergency for lies, is it an emergency for corruption, is it an emergency for injustice, is it a debt emergency, is it an economic emergency and so on?" So the key is, let's treat it together with a moral revolution," said Rizieq.
