Bank Indonesia Improves MSME Players' Understanding Of Sharia Finance

JAKARTA - The Bank Indonesia Representative Office (KPwBI) Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) encourages understanding of micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the public regarding sharia economy and finance.

"The Islamic economy and finance must grow and develop so that the profit generated is greater. We are BI's interest in developing the Islamic economy and finance," Aryo said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 19.

Aryo said, in developing the sharia economy, BI Sultra developed a community of Islamic boarding schools with education so that they could be independent.

He said that in the future his party will also encourage the formation of Islamic economic business associations in Southeast Sulawesi.

"The Islamic economic business association and Islamic boarding school are expected to continue to grow through continuous education," said Aryo.

According to him, to encourage transaction effectiveness for sharia economic business actors, a good payment system with a fast process is needed so that it is more effective and efficient.

"We encourage the acceleration of the development of non-cash transactions for MSME actors, the digital coffee shop community, through the use of transactions using QRIS," he said.
