Guaranteeing The Welfare Of Farmers, Minister Of Trade Zulkifli Hasan Promises To Improve Commodity Prices
JAKARTA - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan promised to focus on improving commodity prices at the farmer level, one of which is prices related to crude palm oil (CPO), so that farmers can get adequate and more prosperous profits.
"So that goods for daily needs are available everywhere at affordable prices," said the Trade Minister in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19.
Zulkifli Hasan said this while attending the Trade Dialogue held by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at Menara Kadin Indonesia, Tuesday.
The Trade Minister also said that he would improve the distribution channel down to the stall level, which is one of the priorities of his work program.
In the dialogue hosted by the Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasyid and attended by business players who are members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zulkifli emphasized that Indonesian entrepreneurs can now carry out trade transactions and export to new destination countries in the United Arab Emirates.
This is because Indonesia has signed the Indonesia-United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IUAE-CEPA).
"The integration of large industries supported by complementary components from small and medium industries will encourage increased trade digitization," said the Minister of Trade.
Inflation which is currently above 4.35 percent, he continued, is a warning for the availability of people's food needs.
"For this reason, the synergy between the government and business actors who are members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry can accelerate the creation of price stability for basic necessities for the community," concluded the Trade Minister.
