Former Persija Jakarta Goalkeeper Daryono Passes Away

JAKARTA - The former Persija Jakarta goalkeeper who is currently strengthening the Liga 2 team Badak Lampung FC Daryono passed away on Monday after previously reportedly being treated intensively in hospital.

The news of Daryono's death was conveyed directly by the Persija Jakarta media officer team via WhatsApp chain messages.

"Inalillahi wainaiirojiun. Has passed away to the mercy of our Brother Daryono. Hopefully his acts of worship will be accepted and all his sins will be forgiven, Aamiin," wrote MO Persija's statement received Antara Monday.

Apart from Persija's source, the Badak Lampung FC team, which was Daryono's last port after moving from the Kemayoran Tigers, uploaded their condolences for the death of the 26-year-old goalkeeper.

Through the club's Instagram account, the Badak Lampung management cannot cover the sadness of being left behind by one of its flagship players.

"All BLFC management and officials are sorry for the death of one of the Laskar Saburai family, Daryono," wrote a club statement.

"Thank you to all Waghei who have helped during Daryono's treatment. We can do it but God has other plans," he added.

Daryono himself was treated at Sumoharjo Hospital, Lampung in October. However, because it did not improve, the goalkeeper who helped Persija win the 2018 League 1 was transferred to the Navy Hospital in Jakarta.

But now he has breathed his last and will always be a memorabilia for the Kemayoran Tigers because his services have helped win the Indonesian League 1 trophy.
