KPK Council Allegedly Lili Pintauli Invited 11 People To Watch The Mandalika MotoGP
JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Lili Pintauli Siregar invited 11 other people to watch the 2022 MotoGP race, at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) last March.
"If I'm not mistaken, 11 people were invited," said member of the KPK Council, Harjono, in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 18.
Regarding Lili's aide who was also suspected of watching, he said the KPK Council had not yet made a decision.
"The process council has not yet made a decision regarding the adjutant," said Harjono.
In addition, regarding the allegations that Lili actively asked for accommodation and tickets through her aide, she said that it should have been revealed in court whether or not it was true.
However, the trial of Lili's alleged ethical violation could not be continued, because the person concerned had resigned as Deputy Chair of the KPK.
"Bu Lili's process by the gods has been completed," said Harjono.
Previously, the KPK Ethics Council Council decided that the trial of Lili's alleged violation of the code of ethics and code of conduct was declared invalid, after the Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 71/P/2022 concerning the dismissal of Lili as Deputy Chair and concurrently Member/Leader of the KPK.
The KPK stated that the council's decision was correct. With Lili's resignation which has been approved by the President, her status is no longer part of the KPK.
In addition, the KPK also refers to Article 37B paragraph 1 letter e of Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the KPK which states "The KPK Council is in charge of holding hearings to examine allegations of violations of the code of ethics by KPK leaders and employees".
When he resigned as the Chair of the KPK, the examinee (Lili Pintauli Siregar) was no longer the subject of the trial.
The Corruption Eradication Commission considers that if they are forced to continue meeting, they will violate the provisions of the code of ethics itself.
