Deputy Governor Confirms That SOPs In TransJakarta Are In Accordance With KNKT Provisions
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that the "Standard Operating Procedure" (SOP) at the DKI Jakarta BUMD, PT TransJakarta is in accordance with the provisions of the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT).
"It should be noted that the SOPs, procedures, recommendations were helped to prepare together with the KNKT. We have complied with, obeyed and compiled together. So we have implemented everything," said Riza at the Jakarta City Hall as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 18.
Riza said the helmsmen of TransJakarta before joining TransJakarta had to go through special training.
"TransJakarta drivers must go through special training," he said.
Regarding the accident that claimed the life of a woman after getting off the Kramat Sentiong Bus Stop and crossing in front of the bus, Riza expressed her condolences for the incident on Saturday (16/7) night.
Riza appealed to the people of Jakarta to be more careful in using transportation, including when crossing the TransJakarta route.
"So, once again, for all residents, be careful when crossing. Don't walk in front of the TransJakarta bus, it's too tall. If we cross, be careful, the driver doesn't see that there are people below," he said.
Riza also asked that this incident should be a common concern so that in the future it does not happen again by conducting more massive socialization.
"So the important thing is that in the future we continue to disseminate information to residents, to the public, do not cross carelessly, especially in front of the TransJakarta bus. The driver is above his position, he can't see if there are people in front below him," he said.
PT Transport Jakarta (TransJakarta) is still waiting for the results of an investigation from the authorities into the accident that occurred at the Sentiong Keramat Bus Stop, Central Jakarta on Saturday, July 16, 2022, resulting in the death of one woman.
The Head of the TransJakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizkani Noor, said that the surveillance cameras or CCTV had been handed over to the Police for investigation.
