The Sequel To Don't Breathe, Which Will Make Us 'gasp' Again
JAKARTA - A sequel to the 2016 horror thriller film Don't Breathe is in development. Although there are no details about the broadcast date, some information regarding this film has been revealed.
Now, let's remember the original film. Directed by Fede Alvarez and starring Stephen Lang as 'The Blind Man', this film focuses on thieves from Detroit who rob the homes of the rich.
Referring to a report revealed by Dicussing Film, Monday, January 20, Lang is said to be reprising his role in the upcoming sequel. Titled Don't Breathe Again, Alvarez will co-write the script with Rodo Sayagues, who will be making his directorial debut.
The report goes on to say, Spider-Man director and Evil Dead creator Sam Raimai will produce this film like the first film. He described the script for the film as; "The greatest idea for a sequel that I haven't heard of before," said Discussing Film.
Referring to the sources stated in the report, this sequel will take place several years after the robbers' invasion of the house where 'The Blind Man' lives in isolation.
"His peace was shattered when he was visited by mysterious and cruel people who demanded responsibility for his sins," the statement continued. Production for the film is scheduled to start in April.
Meanwhile last year it was revealed that Alvarez was working on a new horror film described as 'The Shining set in the White House'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the untitled and release date film will feature former Fear The Walking Dead writer Shintaro Shimosawa as head of production.
New information came when Alvarez horror studio Bad Hombre Films signed a deal with Legendary Pictures. Along with the new White House themed horror, the studio will also reboot the horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
