Suharso Monoarfa Optimistic To Be Elected Again To Lead PPP
NUSA DUA - Acting Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Suharso Monoarfa is optimistic that he will be re-elected as chairman. The ketum selection process will take place at the 9th PPP Congress in Makassar in December 2020.
In a regional coordination meeting leading up to the congress in the Nusa Dua area, Badung Regency, Bali, Suharso Monoarfa said he was optimistic after the coordination meeting with the DPW-DPC of the Provinces of Bali, NTB and NTT.
"We, from the Bali, NTB, and NTT DPW and DPC, support Pak Suharso Monoarfa to return to being the General Chairperson at the 9th congress in Makassar in December," said Chairman of the NTB DPW Watiah, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 8.
After the meeting, Acting Chairman of PPP Suharso Monoarfa admitted that apart from Bali, NTB and NTT who supported him, it was recorded that half of Indonesia's provinces were also ready to return to the position of Head of PPP Head.
"Half of the provinces in Indonesia agreed to support me. In Makassar I will later build solidarity among PPP cadres to be even more solid," he said.
Suharso Monoarfa hopes that the Makassar congress will run safely and in an orderly manner and that there will be no conflicts that can harm the course of the congress and PPP.
Reported to the KPKRegarding the report of the PPP cadres to the KPK regarding the Acting Chairman of PPP Suharso Monoarfa with the alleged gratification of the use of private jets, PPP Secretary General Arsul Sani said there was no problem.
Suharso Monoarfa was reported to the KPK by Nizar Dahlan regarding the alleged gratification of a private jet during party consolidation in Medan and Aceh in October 2020.
"There is no problem regarding the gratuity, because Pak Suharso Monoarfa uses a private jet in his capacity as a party official, not as a minister or state official. That is also an activity during holidays and not in the interests of the state," said Arsul Sani.
He said he was not worried that this issue would become an obstacle to support for Suharso, who received a lot of support to become Chairman of the PPP in the next five years.
