Four Suspected JI Network Terrorists Arrested In Lampung
JAKARTA - The Anti-terror Special Detachment Team (Densus) 88 arrested four suspected terrorists in the Lampung area. They are suspected of being affiliated with the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network.
"That's right (arrest). The action against the Densus 88 team is a preventive strike on November 6 and 7, 2020," said Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, to reporters on Sunday, November 8.
The four suspected terrorists had the initials SA, S, I, and RK. They were arrested at different locations. The suspected terrorist with the initials SA, said Awi, was arrested at his home in Jalan Kucing, Purwosari Urban Village, Lampung, on Friday, November 6.
"The person concerned is a member of the Jamaah Islamiah group from the Kosin area, which is part of the Imaruddin (Banten) group under the leadership of Para Wijayanto who is suspected of being Kosin in the Lampung region," said Awi.
Then, the suspected terrorist S, who was a trader, was arrested on Jalan Tanjung Pura, Panjang District, Bandar Lampung City.
Meanwhile, the terrorist suspect initial I was arrested at Jalan Budiutomo RT 001 RW 004, Kecamantan Gading Rejo, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. He acts as a donor to Imarudin.
Finally, the suspected initials of RK were arrested on Jalan Wonokriyo, Wonodadi Village, Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung.
"The three terrorist suspects were arrested Saturday, November 7. For the initials S and RK are treasurers of the Lampung ADIRA structure," said Awi.
Currently, the terrorist suspects are still being examined intensively by the Densus 88 Anti-terror.
